Connection Creates Progress

The most important breakthroughs often happen between worlds.

Across the world, people are already exploring ideas, developing technologies, studying social change and creating initiatives that could contribute to a better future.

There is an extraordinary amount of knowledge, creativity, experience and wisdom available.

But much of it remains disconnected.

People may be working on different parts of the same problem without knowing of each other's work.

Ideas that could strengthen one another may develop separately.

People who could create something remarkable together may never meet simply because they belong to different professions, cultures, disciplines, communities or networks.

Humanity Forward exists to help change that.

The network is the infrastructure

We want to build an open and diverse network through which people, knowledge, experience and ideas can find one another.

The network is not simply a collection of members.

The network itself is the infrastructure of connection.

Sometimes connections will happen naturally.

Sometimes Humanity Forward - potentially assisted by AI - may recognize that two or more people have complementary knowledge, questions, experiences or ideas and offer to introduce them.

Such introductions should always be voluntary.

The purpose is not to tell people whom they should work with, but to create encounters that might otherwise never happen.

And sometimes the most valuable connection may be one nobody expected.

From connection to collective intelligence

No individual, organization, government, company or community can fully understand the transformation ahead.

But together we can see more.

When people with different knowledge, experiences, perspectives and ways of thinking are connected in an environment of curiosity, freedom and mutual respect, something new can emerge.

Their combined understanding can become greater than what any of them could achieve alone.

That is the potential of collective intelligence.

Humanity Forward wants to create the conditions in which that collective intelligence can grow - and in which connections can develop into conversations, collaborations, experiments and meaningful action.

We do not know in advance which connections will matter.

That is precisely why we need the network.
